We’re a group of engineers and applied scientists who aim to understand vision by trying to make things that can see.

We model interactions between shape, light and materials, and we create optical and computational ways of efficiently turning measurements of light into useful information.

We enjoy the intersections of computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, signal processing, applied optics, biological vision and human perception. We are motivated by applications in robotics, augmented reality, generative AI, and scientific imaging.
